Sending documents

Why didn't my signer get the signing email?

Find out why an invitation has not arrived, then send it again or fix the address.

If your SignQuick signer has no invitation, it may be waiting for their turn, in spam, undelivered or sent to a mistyped address.

Who can use this feature?

Plans
Manual reminders work on every plan. Automatic reminders need Pro or Team.
Who can do it
Sending a reminder needs permission to send documents. Only an Owner, an Admin or the document's sender can correct a signer's email.

Invitation waits for its turn

With Ordered signing stages, invitations go out one stage at a time. A signer in a later stage gets an email only after everyone in the earlier stage signs. The Recipients card on the document page shows each signer's stage.

While the Internal approval card shows Awaiting approval, no invitation or reminder goes out. If the card later says the document is ready to send, select Send now.

A signer with Signs in person (on this device) turned on never gets an email. You start a session for them on your own device instead.

Until it is a signer's turn, their row shows no Send reminder.

Invitation in spam or another folder

Accepted by email provider means the provider took the message, not that it reached the inbox. If the outcome is Failed or Unconfirmed, use the fix for a failed delivery instead.

  1. Step 1: Open Documents.
  2. Step 2: Select the document.
  3. Step 3: Set Message type to Invitation in Reminder history.
  4. Step 4: Read the outcome on the signer's Invitation row.
  5. Step 5: Ask the signer to check spam and other filtered folders if it shows Accepted by email provider.

Result: When the signer opens the invitation and the document, their status on the document page changes to Viewed.

Delivery failed or not confirmed

Use this fix when the invitation's outcome is Failed or Unconfirmed. It also applies when sending showed "Document created but email delivery could not be confirmed." The document exists, so don't create a second one.

  1. Step 1: Select Send reminder in the signer's row.
  2. Step 2: Read the result that appears in the signer's row.
  3. Step 3: Set Message type to Manual reminder in Reminder history and read the outcome before you send another reminder.
  4. Step 4: Select the copy icon in the signer's row if no email arrives.
  5. Step 5: Send the copied link to the signer through your own email or chat.

Result: The signer can open the document from the link, and their status changes to Viewed.

Wrong email address

Open the invitation's delivery details in Reminder history. If they show Provider reports bounced, check the address for typos.

  1. Step 1: Select Correct details in the signer's row.
  2. Step 2: Fix the address in Email.
  3. Step 3: Select Save and send new link.

Result: The old link stops working. The new address gets an invitation right away if it is their turn, or when their turn comes.
