Signing documents

Why isn't my signing link working?

Find the message on the signing page and apply its fix, from a new code to a new document.

If a SignQuick signing link or code fails, the signing page shows the cause, and each cause has its own fix.

Who can use this feature?

Who can do it
Signers need no SignQuick account. Only an Owner, an Admin or the document's sender can replace a signer, and they need permission to send documents.

Waiting for Others: not your turn yet

Waiting for Others means the document is signed in order and an earlier signer has not finished. You get an email when it is your turn.

Not Ready for Signing means the sender's team is still reviewing the document. You get an email when it is ready to sign.

Signature accepted or Not Required: nothing to do

Your Signature Is Not Required means the sender's routing rules skipped you after an earlier signer's answer. You have nothing more to do.

Signature accepted means your signature is recorded and the document is waiting for the other signers. If the page shows Signature accepted; PDF needs attention, ask the sender to retry document preparation.

This signing link is not valid: open the newest email

This page means the link is incomplete or was replaced. The sender may have corrected your email address or given the request to someone else.

Open the most recent email from the sender. If that link fails too, ask the sender to send the document again.

Emailed code expired, blocked or missing

Some senders require a one-time code sent to your email. A code has 6 digits, expires after 10 minutes and is blocked after 5 wrong entries.

  1. Step 1: Select Send a new code on Verify it's you, or Email me a code if you have none yet.
  2. Step 2: Find the newest code email from SignQuick, including in your spam folder.
  3. Step 3: Enter the 6 digits in 6-digit code.
  4. Step 4: Select Verify and continue.

Result: The page reloads and opens the document.

Access code not accepted

The sender sets the access code and gives it to you; the invitation email does not include it. After too many wrong tries, the page asks you to wait a minute.

  1. Step 1: Ask the sender for the access code.
  2. Step 2: Enter it in Access Code on the Verification Required page.
  3. Step 3: Select Verify.

Result: The page reloads and opens the document, or the next check the sender set.

Request meant for someone else

Don't fill in another person's fields. Select I'm not the right person to sign this so the sender can replace you.

Document Expired, Voided or Declined: the request is closed

These pages mean nobody can sign this request any more. Only a new document from the sender can collect your signature.

  1. Step 1: Select Ask the sender for a new link on the Document Expired page.

Result: The page shows "Done. We told the sender you still want to sign."
