Change when signature requests expire

Set how many days new signature requests stay open, and see what happens when one expires.

SignQuick requests expire 14 days after creation by default; an Owner or Admin can set 1 to 365 days in Settings, then Organization.

Who can use this feature?

Who can do it
Only an Owner or Admin can change the default expiry.

Change the default expiry

Each document page shows its expiry date under Expires. A new document expires 14 days after it is created unless you change the default.

  1. Step 1: In the sidebar, select Settings, the gear icon next to your name.
  2. Step 2: Select Organization.
  3. Step 3: Under Document Defaults, set Default expiry (days) to a number from 1 to 365.
  4. Step 4: Select Save settings.

Result: SignQuick shows Settings saved. Documents you create from now on expire after that many days; documents already sent keep their date.

Common questions

What happens when a request expires?

The document's status becomes Expired, and signers who open the link see Document Expired. Reminders stop, and Correct details and Replace signer are no longer available. The status changes when a signer opens the link or at SignQuick's daily check.

Can I extend or reopen an expired request?

No. Send a new document to collect the signature. On the expired page, a signer can select Ask the sender for a new link. SignQuick then emails the sender, at most once a day, that the signer still wants to sign.
