Remove a teammate from your workspace

Hand over a teammate's work and end their access.

In SignQuick, open Settings, then Team, choose who takes over the teammate's work, and select Transfer and remove.

Who can use this feature?

Who can do it
The Owner removes Admins and Members. An Admin removes Members. Nobody can remove the Owner or themselves.

Remove a teammate

Removing someone hands their open work to another teammate instead of deleting it. The dialog lists every change before you confirm.

  1. Step 1: In the sidebar, select Settings, the gear icon next to your name.
  2. Step 2: Select Team.
  3. Step 3: Under Members, open the actions menu in the teammate's row.
  4. Step 4: Select Remove from team.
  5. Step 5: Under Hand over to, choose who takes over the work, which can be you.
  6. Step 6: Review the list of what happens to their work.
  7. Step 7: Select Transfer and remove.

Result: SignQuick confirms the handover. The person moves to their own personal workspace and loses access to your team.

What changes for their work

The person you choose becomes responsible for the documents assigned to the teammate, including any in the trash. They also take over documents the teammate created that are drafts or awaiting signatures and have no one assigned. Unsent drafts move to that person's saved drafts.

SignQuick revokes the API keys they created, their pending invitations and their permission-group memberships. Approval requests sent to them are cancelled, and their personal saved views are removed.

Shared templates stay with the team. Personal templates stay private and can't be reached. Contacts, folders, tags, webhooks, reminder settings and signed documents don't change.

Common questions

What if SignQuick says there is too much work to hand over?

Some teammates have more work than the automatic handover can move. Contact SignQuick support before you remove them.

Does removing a teammate change the Team bill?

The Team plan bills for active members, so SignQuick updates the subscription after the removal. Settings, then Billing shows the current plan.

Can I undo a removal?

No. To bring the person back, send them a new invitation. Their permission-group grants don't return, so the Owner adds them to groups again.
