- Who can do it
- Owners and Admins manage the allowed origins.
- Before you start
- An API key with Embed for signing.
- A page on an exact https:// origin. http://localhost works only with a test key.
Allow your page's origin
- Step 1: In the sidebar, select Settings, the gear icon next to your name.
- Step 2: Select Integrations.
- Step 3: Under Embedded signing, enter your page's origin, such as https://app.example.com, with no path, query or wildcard.
- Step 4: Select Add origin.
Result: The origin appears in the list. You can list up to 20 origins.
Start a signing session
- Step 1: From your server, create and send the document with your API key.
- Step 2: Call POST /api/v1/documents/{id}/recipients/{rid}/embed with your origin in the request body.
- Step 3: Load the returned url in an iframe on that origin.
Result: The recipient signs inside your page. The URL works once and expires in 15 minutes, and your API key never reaches the browser.
